To ensure that the Channel 7 Mandurah Crab Fest can safely bring the 2024 event to life, the following road and water closures are needed.
ROAD CLOSURES
Between 15 March to 18 March 2024 the following closures apply:
- Mandurah Terrace - from Pinjarra Road to Hacket Street from 15 March to 18 March.
- Gibson Street, Tuckey Street, Cooper Street, between Mandurah Terrace to Sholl Street.
- Smart Street Mall closed from Friday 15 March to 18 March.
- Westbound Peel Street lane closed.
The Mandurah Bridge will remain open for the duration of the event.
WATER CLOSURES
Fireworks
Mandjar bay waterways from Stingray Point to Estuary Pool (Kwillena Gabi) will be closed from 3pm to 9:30pm on Saturday 16 March 2024. This body of water is closed for safety measures to allow for set up and too display the pyrotechnics from 5 floating pontoons.
Mandurah Action Sports Games
The waterway from Mandurah Bridge to Stingray Point including Mandjar Bay will be closed to the public from 10am - 3pm on both 16 and 17 March 2024.
PARKING CLOSURES
- Parking Station 3 (Rotunda car park) on Mandurah Terrace will be closed from 5am Friday 8 March 2024 to 6am 21 March.
- Mandurah Terrace Parking Precinct 1 will be closed from Friday 15 March and will reopen on 18 March.
- Parking Station 8 (Tod’s car park), will be closed from 14 March and will reopen on 18 March.
- Tuckey Street from Mandurah Terrace to the entrance of the Woolworths car park, angle/parallel parking will be closed from 15 March to approximately 18 March. Access to private car parks will be limited to ensure pedestrian safety.
- Mandurah Terrace angle/parallel parking between Pinjarra Road and Hackett Street will be closed from 15 March to approximately 18 March.
PEEL STREET ROAD WORKS
From Tuesday, 13 February, a traffic switch will occur on Peel Street. There is a one-way/partial closure of Eastbound traffic on Peel Street between Anstruther Road and Sutton Street and access to Peel Street from Forrest Street and Randall Street will be closed/restricted.
These traffic arrangements should not affect traffic travelling to Mandurah Foreshore via Peel Street, however for road users wishing to leave Mandurah Foreshore via Peel Street, please follow the detours in place.
